Trip to Sofia
Greetings, friends!
It so happened that I visited this city 4 times, but the city itself was never the purpose of the trip.
I'll show you the city as I remember it.
The first time I got to Sofia, I decided to walk from the airport to the hotel, since the route on the map was a little more than 4 kilometers and I decided to save money. Although this does not have much to do with the story about the city, I will say that the decision was not quite right in the end, since it turned out that the hotel had a different address, and I had to look for this new address.
Let's go to the city
In conclusion, I can say on the question of how to get from the airport to the city, there are, as always, several options:
- By taxi (about 20 minutes, about 10 km)
- By rented car (the same 20 minutes as by taxi)
- By metro! (at the time of my trip, the Letishche Sofia station did not exist yet, otherwise, the trip would have taken 18 minutes)
- By bus (Bus #84, Bus #384 - travel time about 40 minutes)
- On foot (one and a half to two hours, about 8 km)
If you are going to walk around the city a lot, I recommend buying a 1-day pass. It will be valid on all public transport in the city (metro, buses, trams).
Interesting places
Overall, the city didn't impress me, but there were some things that caught my eye.
This is the Vitosha mountain range. You can get to the lower station of the lift by taxi, it is located right on the outskirts of the city, literally 15 minutes and you are already starting to climb the mountain.
Look at the views!
And finally...
